Link to an interview with Ari Folman by the Animation World Network (AWN): Here In the interview Ari Folman discusses his use of a animation and a  graphical novel style to capture his lost memory. He discusses his decision to use Flash (Animate) and how in some cases he needed to employ hybrid techniques (draw / 3D) to work beyond limitations.  You can also download the films 'press book' here

Trailer - The Congress by Ari Folman

Ari Folman's Waltz with Bashir was a beacon of hope in a dark world of animation. In 2008, he brought the horror stories of the Lebanon war to the screen in a stunning but stark animation. Folman is now back with another film, part animated, part live action, titled The Congress . It's difficult to imagine how this will turn out, with a strange vibe of retro animation and pulpy sci-fi. But no matter what you expect, Folman seems to have a unique approach with both film and animation. My first reaction to this somewhat bewildering trailer was uncertainty, reminiscent of Leos Carax's Holy Motors , it doesn't quite play by the normal rules and one is left grasping for something to cling to. One thing is for sure though, no matter how it all turns out, there is a real excitement behind this mode of film making.

Each exercises is done in about one - to - two hours of work (more or less)." Find more of Goodman's 'dailymations' on his blog. * "I was born in 1976. Began my career as an illustrator and designer for Israeli newspapers. While studying in the department of Visual Communication at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, I fell in love with animation and haven't stopped making it sinc...
