10th Kingdom This is a TV Mini Series made in 2000 but really it’s a 10 hour film :D It’s set in the world of fairytale. Nine Kingdoms each ruled by the heroes of different fairy tales like Cinderella, Red Riding Hood and the naked Emperor and then within the kingdoms are some more classic fairytale style places like a dangerous forest and a dragon mountain. Within the 10 hours the main characters visit over 20 high fantasy locations which I think are rather stunning. They use CGI for some scenes and others are just big budget sets but the details in each scene’s design are quite wonderful. I think it’s a win in terms of production design, characters design and development and story so it’s worth a look-see if you haven’t seen it. It’s really hard to find images because it wasn’t hugely popular however I’ll post up a few clips of some of the most interesting sets. (one of my favourite scenes starts at 9:28.
