This is one of my favorites. A pinup artist who invented the pin-up girl 'The Petty Girl.' As one critic so aptly put it : "When you touch the wrist of a Petty Girl, you almost expect to feel a pulse." A lot of his pin-up art works have women holding phones which were produced during WWII, and a piece of his art was used on the nose of the famous WWII B-17 Flying Fortress. I love George Petty 's stuff, he draws his models with their legs longer than life, and with smaller heads which i'm a big fan of. What's more, his style is very impressive, mixing from wonderfully painted skin, to outlines of high heels. I can imagine that people of that era in warzones would go crazy for a piece of Petty art.
