The Supplement: Edmund Dulac

Edmund Dulac was a French illustrator (of the 'Golden Age of illustration' ) celebrated for his images for the fairy stories of Hans Christian Andersen , T he Arabian Nights and The Tempest . I'm showcasing his work simply because I love his stuff; the delicacy, the whimsy, the complexity and the incredible, opalescent use of colour. They feel properly magical, with a softness and almost pearl-like sheen. You'll find more of Dulac's illustrations here .
