FAO CAA Yr 3: Phil Working From Home

If only... Just letting you know that the donut delivery man is in fact working from home tomorrow (or today, if you're reading this on Thursday) marking the year one Fantastic Voyage projects before your big day comes next week and your assessments kick-in!  I'll be online all day pretty much, so do '@Phil' if I can be of any use, or email me.  Meanwhile, here is another motivational classic to keep you on your toes! As announced previously, we're asking exhibiting students to contribute £155 towards New Designers 2016 .   If your Minor Project came in as a B grade back in January, you already know you're eligible for the show and the UCA Online Store is open for business.  Go  here  to make your contribution.  Final deadline for payments is Friday, 3rd June.

This month's PWTM puts me in mind of the knickerbocker glories of my youth - those showy desserts in the tall showy glasses that necessitated a spoon with a long handle, so chockablock were they with layers of ice-cream, jelly, syrup and fruit.  You're going to need a long spoon of your own to get through this little lot! On Friday 29th March, our first years presented their final animations to their client, Dr Peter Klappa,   lecturer in Bioscience at the University of Kent.  This final culminative brief - which asks them to pre-produce, produce and post-produce their very first CGI animation - represents a formidable level of challenge. Not only do they have to draw upon the full range of skills they've acquired during the year, they must also understand and articulate creatively a range of bioscientific scenarios.  Never has the imagined divide between art and science seemed more implausible.
