Things to do in readiness for your Narrative Project

As part of your Narrative project your group will be asked to form a 'studio' that will make an animated short: To do this successfully you'll need to consider...

1) A name and brand for your studio: Your new studio will need a name and a graphical brand identity. For example ‘Bad Robot’ (J. J. Abrams - Cloverfield, Star Trek, Star Wars) which features a cartoon ‘bad robot’ as the logo / ident. Think carefully before naming your studio, what does it say about you and your group's work? Research good and bad examples and spend time developing and refining your graphic identity.

2) Start and maintain a studio blog: In addition to your personal blogs you're asked to create a studio (group) blog. This will form a creative diary for the project (alongside your individual blogs) and help your studio/ group communicate with each other and the public. Remember to brand the blog with your studio name and a give it a graphic identity.

3) Establish ways to communicate: The key to a successful group project is good communication. As part of a studio you’ll need to be in communication easily and reliably with each other on a daily basis. So make sure you exchange current phone numbers, email addresses, Skype contacts (or similar), Facebook profiles and so on.

Once you've set up your blogs remember to email the addresses to Phil & myself at...

  1. In group 2 it says 'Eva' as the fourth member and Ella isn't listed on there. Is it supposed to say Ella?
