Welcome to this special edition of the Post With The Most, which celebrates the achievements of our now-graduates exhibiting at New Designers 2014. Before all that, the obligatory image of our happy graduates throwing their hats in the air after their ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank, London...
Congratulations 'Class of 2014' |
Here on BA (Hons) CG Arts & Animation (soon to be Computer Animation Arts), the academic pomp of graduation isn't quite the big finish for our year three students. In between measuring their heads for snug-fitting mortar boards and worrying unduly about not falling over on stage in front of the great and the good at the Royal Festival Hall, our graduates have been working bloody hard in preparation for New Designers - and they're not alone.
It's always a big team effort putting on this show, and while this PWTM is all about our graduates, let me take a moment to thank everyone who helped us get this show on the road - not least all our year 1 and year 2 students, alumni, and staff who bought tickets for our Tombolas Of Dreams. Special thanks must go to Steven Payne for all his efforts behind the scenes, and also to character designer, illustrator and sessional lecturer, Justin Wyatt, for creating our 'Class of 2014' caricatures, appearing soon at N1.

So, New Designers... what is it?
"New Designers is the UK's most important exhibition for emerging design, full of innovation and fresh thinking. It takes place over two weeks, with each Part focusing on a different set of design disciplines and featuring its own Awards Programme.
The show sees over 3,000 of the most talented, newly graduated designers from the UK's leading universities come together to exhibit in one spectacular venue - the Business Design Centre, London."
So without further fuss or preamble, here is our graduates' work, which is on show now at stand number VC12 at New Designers 2014.
As per, a simple click on any of these graduates' names will take you onwards to their individual blog. Be sure to check out their 'Art Ofs' and demo reels too. Enjoy! Your feedback is gold dust and always appreciated.

The Final Word...
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain.
Hey all!
ReplyDeleteits great to see the final products of all your weeks of hard work up here, poised to go on display at ND.
im afraid i wont be able to make it to your show this year, as i have some pressing deadlines coming up this week.
It would have been great to meet you all.
