This is a shout out for our year 2 and 3 students: as some of you will be aware, preparations on the new ACT music visualisation project are well underway. On Monday, May 12th we'll be launching a short, sharp 2 day competition brief challenging you to respond quickly and creatively to this latest experiment in translating music into imagery. What I can tell you about the project at this point is that you'll be responding to music and working in Maya to produce sculptural forms. I can also tell you that it is our intention to turn one (or indeed some) of those resulting forms into physical works of art, to be sited in the orchard at the Royal Opera House premises in Purfleet, as part of the outdoor screening of Verdi's Requiem in July.
