Danny & Annie - another jewel from the Storycorps project. If you thought the opening ten minutes of Pixar's Up was tear-jerking, this is going to wring you out. This is so moving, so beautiful - what an extraordinary relationship. This is also the most genuinely romantic thing I've seen. Again, I can't help but enthuse about these animations which bring to vivid life recorded conversations between real people. For all the obvious artifice of the medium, there is an enhanced truthfulness about these animated shorts, which are directed with such sensitivity and charm by the Rauch Brothers. You can expect more on here over the coming days. I'm hooked.
