I bloody love this! A classic example of deriving an idea for an original animated short from a bit of lateral thinking and child-like enquiry, as in 'Where do all the ice-cream vans go in Winter?'. The lovely bit of conflated logic here is very satisfying too, which sees birds and ice-cream vans aligned. This animation from Trunk Animation looks great, has a whiff of the classic The Snowman about it, and it just works. If you're coming up with ideas for your own animated shorts, this film should give you some pointers - ask a good question and then follow the logic of the answer...
