CGAA Miscellaneous: Making of Beauty and the Beast

I have found a few videos on the making of Beauty and the Beast (I believe they're dvd/bluray extras) which are quite descriptive of the processes the Disney animation team went through to make the film. It's a nice insight in to the professional pipeline and just a little bit scary too...

This one is the original opening, created by the London team, that they mention in the first video ('making of'). It's a lot darker, I think, and quite cheeky at some points.

  2. Agreed. Thanks, Sammy. Disney production stuff is so fascinating. The amount of best-of-the-best talent they had working on these films was extraordinary.

I once saw Beauty and the Beast on Ice...

  3. I thought it was really interesting how much development it had... they were thinking about it right from the 30's... and that a whole teams work was just scrapped because it didn't work! I think most other companies would have run with that draft. I think maybe the comical horse may have finally made onto screen in the form of Maximus (Tangled) though :D

    Nice confession Tom!
