CGAA One-A-Day: Karel Zeman's Inspirace - 1949

I recently came across the Czech animator Karel Zeman and his fabulously glittering short animation Inspirace made in 1949. I've never seen anything quite like it's use of glass in stop motion animation. The way light is used in conjunction with stunningly intricate models to reflect and refract off of each, can only be described as mouthwatering. Music is by Zdeněk Liška.
