A quick reminder about the new series of Charlie Brooker's brilliant Black Mirror starting tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm. This is a rare British gem, a twilight zone-esque drama exploring the strange world that we find ourselves in.
Also check out Channel 4's "Utopia" if anyone gets the time. It's a refreshing and thoughtful journey into a strange land. Good to see that British TV still has promise.
Even when these shows make mistakes, the quality of writing and confidence to explore interesting themes is commendable. They feel completely auteur-ed and uncompromised, not stopping to explain to the audience or reinforce points. Check both out for some superb
