All Aboard LV21! Final MA Project - August 18-19th 2012. LV21, Gillingham Pier

Hi All,

As you may know through my blog or this one. I'm finishing up my MA course with a series of animated projection mapping installations aboard LV21, a big red decommissioned lightvessel currently moored up at Gillingham Pier. The event is open to the public on both days and is completely free, so do come along. View my work, meet the crew and explore the boat. You could even communicate with other boats dotted around the world, as the event forms part  of International Lighthouse-Lightship Weekend! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to leave them in the comments.

"This ILL Weekend LV21 focuses on celebrating communication. LV21′s resident radio expert Colin Turner will teach the dots and dashes of Morse Code and help you to solder your own electronic equipment. The crew will also be on hand to give guided tours around the historic LV21 or you can simply relax on deck and watch the River Medway flow by." http://www.lv21.co.uk/event/international-lighthouse-lightship-weekend-2012/

  1. Plenty of free car parking around the Pier too, in case anyone was wondering!

  2. Lovely branding, Tom - understated, but very cinematic. Yum! Okay, so I'm going to head down on the Saturday - for about 1pm or thereabouts - it would be good to see lots of CGAA bods in situ too to show support for 'one of our own'! :)

  3. Thanks a lot, Phil and Jolanta! :-)
