I saw this post on Feng Zhu's blog - in which he's designed a series of 'alien mobsters' by deriving key forms from something as 'unassociated' with aliens & mobsters as 1920s archictecture - and thought of the incoming CGAA first years and their 'Creativity 101' brief. Proof positive that inspiration could - and should - be taken from everything and everywhere and always be informed by real world reference. For Feng Zhu's Youtube channel, go here.
