A menagerie of steampunked, biomechanical critters from Michihiro Matsuoka, who uses clay and acrylic paint to create his largely rather cute animal/machine hybrids. There's no hint of Gigeresque froideur in Matsuoka's melding of machine and lifeform - more Brian Froud meets Jules Verne.
BA Hons Computer Animation Arts is a 3 year degree course at the University for the Creative Arts, Rochester, UK.
These are just gorgeous! The fact that they're physical models as well is great! I can imagine holding one of those little grubs in your hand and seeing how it would move about if it was alive. They're just adorable! :D
