CGAA One-A-Day: The Rocketeer

Some of you may not be familiar with Dave Stevens' retro comic book character, The Rocketeer, and those that are no doubt recall the 1991 movie adaptation (see trailer) directed by Joe Johnstone, and with a score by James Horner. Filmmaker John Banana is a big fan, and his Pixar-esque tribute is featured here. It's cute and feels like a bid for a new cg adaptation or television series.

  1. I used to love that film when I was a kid always reminded me of a mix between early Iron Man and Captain America comics blended together, wonder if I can get this on blu-ray...

  2. Oh WOW!! I can't believe I've never heard of this before! I love that retro style and the graphic for the suite is gorgeous and that animation was just so lovely!! Looks like I'll have to try and find it now! Thank you Phil! :D
