Visiting Lecturer - Tuesday 8th March @ 2pm LT1 - Inga Johnson/Picasso Pictures

On Tuesday 8th March @ 2pm in Lecture Theatre 1, Inga Johnson from Picasso Pictures is coming to talk with CGAA students about the company and her role within it as senior producer. All CGAA students are to attend and alumni are welcome! Be prompt - late comers will look stupid! Let's give Inga a warm welcome to UCA.

"Picasso Pictures is one of the UK’s leading independent animation production companies. We represent a diverse range of directing and design talent and enjoy a reputation for producing original and highly creative work. We pride ourselves on exploring and exploiting new technologies and methodology alongside the more conventional animation techniques. Our range of expertise cover all aspects of production, including 3D and 2D animation, live action, graphics and typography.

Since its inception, Picasso has enjoyed considerable commercial success. We have worked with some of the world’s largest ad agencies and have produced campaigns for many leading brands. Our directors have designed and created a wealth of award winning and critically acclaimed spots for clients such as Nokia, Chrysler, Nike, Guinness, Microsoft MSN, Mitsubishi and Toyota.

In addition to our commercial work, Picasso also enjoys a successful presence in the broadcast industry. Our strengths lie in producing strongly branded content for channel identities and promos. We have produced many highly visible campaigns including a range of stings for the latest BBC 2 re-brand, short film promos for MTV, CBBC and Film4 and a series of 5 second identities for the SyFy Channel.

Many of our directors come from a film making background and continue to produce stunning short films hand in hand with their commercials work.
