Hey everyone, I've spent most of today trying to figure out why Mental Ray leaves blotches all over my renders?
I've been using my very basic pre-vis block models for the rendering, just to work out how the lighting will play out.

Im not sure but I think it has something to do with the number of light rays, they get spread out after a few bounces and you get blotches. I think Final Gather will eliminate it or if you turn up the number of rays used it will thin it out (i think the default is 20)
