FAO CGAA Year 1: Unit 5 - Animation: Friday's Workshops

Hi there - just a reminder that ALL lightboxes need to be back in the CGAA baseroom BEFORE the first workshop begins at 10am - which means if you're not until the afternoon session you still need to ensure any borrowed lightboxes are in situ in readiness for use by the first group. I won't look kindly on students simply 'hanging on to them' - the same is true for graphics tablets. If you've got one in your room and you're getting used to thinking of it as 'yours' - it isn't - put back in circulation please.

Also, both Alan and I are away on Friday. I've reassured Meg that you'll be perfect examples of punctuality and helpfulness; don't be late for your animation workshops and be prepared to help Meg out if any need arises. Make Meg feel at home and make the very best use of her time. Meg will be working with you on your story ideas and helping to identify ways to further finesse and streamline your 3 act stories. Remember that the emphasis of this project is on you demonstrating your understanding of the principles of animation - and in this respect there are no short-cuts. You're looking for opportunities to make your objects 'perform'. You're sensitivity for story-telling via animation technique is the important bit. Have fun - and be amazing.
