If you use Photobucket, you can upload all you want for free and just insert the pics to your blog. Also means you have a backup of your pics online and I believe you can get higher res photos uploaded this way...
You used up all your space? In 16 weeks? 0_0 I've been uploading pics (large ones at that) almost everyday to blogger for 2 and half years and I'm only just over half way I think.
Did you have non-uni pics already stored on your Google account account?
Are you reducing the size of your pictures to a 'web' standard? When uploading to the web make sure you lower the dimensions (pixels / cm) and drop the resolution to 72 or 15O dpi.
