CGAA One-A-Day: La Nuit de l'Ours

A number of you are working on animations with a monochromatic style; La Nuit de l'Ours boasts some mouthwatering moments of light and shade and all the tones in-between. The character design is equally minimalist, yet manages to convey nobility and power.

    A narrative that manages to pull off what Avatar could not, no saccharine after taste here. Stylistically it brings to mind the dreamscapes of Henri Rousseau and the photography of Gian Paolo Barbieri. A great find Phil.
