Made in 2002 by Chris Stenner, Arvid Uibel and Heidi Wittlinger 'Das Rad (The Rock)' is a German student animation using both stop frame and and CGI techniques. It presents a clever play on time using a Human and Geological (Rock) points of view. E.g two rocks having a simple conversation would take thousands of years.
The short went on to win numerous awards culminating in an Oscar nomination for Best Short Animation in 2003. Enjoy.
