One-A-Day - Destino

Finally released in 2003, Destino is a collaboration between Disney & Dali. Production began on the short film back in 1945, and the project was revived again by the Disney Studio in 1999. Directed by Dominque Monfery, it combines 2d animation with a little cg. A team of animators deciphered Dali's surreal storyboards and finished Destino's production.

  1. I love Destino, it is so great to see Dali's thoughts and visuals being paid off in such a beautiful animation by Disney.

  3. Hi Matt, you mean how he would do in architecture?? you can see it, his museum in Figueres, which I personally visited is an example of his architecture, although the exterioir is quite interesting the exterior blows everyone way, it is just like entering one of Dali's Paintings, decorated with plenty of his life-size sculptures. Also his house in Cadaques, which I have been to on the exterior is decorated with is most know of Dali's Eggs ( the symbol of Birth).

See Matt another Dali's aficionado over here :)

  4. Also, much of Gaudi's work owes much to surrealism.

  6. I thinks I've never seen animation like it. But that makes sense, cause this was Dali.
