Year 2: Premise submission The purpose of Premise is to create a solid foundation for year three. The more successful your Premise project, the better chance you have of a successful third year. You now have six weeks left (eight including the Easter break) until  Premise is over . That’s six weeks (term time) to create the best foundation possible for your final year. Therefore, to help you I created a ‘must have’ list below. However, whilst this is a ‘list’ it is not a ‘check list’ whereby you create work simply to fulfil the list (see - No ‘tick box’ submissions below). It is a list that discusses areas where you find out more about your concept by researching, developing and refining work. Year 2: Drop in/sign up tutorials. Please be aware that I will be in the CAA office today not on the ground floor as I mentioned yesterday. The tutorials are 'drop in' meaning that you can come anytime from 10am - 1pm to talk about/get help with either Premise or Toolkit 2. If you need practical help please open your files on a computer in one of the CAA rooms.  - Alan

This is the first PWTM post-GDPR... and in order to comply with the new regulations I sent out an 'opt-in' email for those subscribers wishing to remain on our mailing list - and I deleted everyone else! We've probably lost a few loyal readers in our great data cull, for who amongst us hasn't felt snowed under by all the recent emails asking us to 'opt-in' (and who amongst us hasn't secretly enjoyed the idea of all those endless 'sell-you-stuff' emails just going poof into thin air!). Year 2: End of year 'exit' tutorials  Tuesday 22nd May. To help you to prepare for your third year you are asked to attend a final 'exit' tutorial. In this tutorial we will discuss your progress during your second year, how your Premise project can become your Minor project, and how you can improve further in year three.  The tutorials will take place after all of your work has been assessed on Tuesday 22nd May. Toolkit 2 (Date change) The Toolkit 2 submission date has been changed from Monday 14th May to Friday 18th May by 5pm . This has been done to give you all as much time as possible to complete your work. Please use the time wisely and make sure to post your submission on time. Your submission post should follow the same 'etiquette' as your original 'check-in' post, containing links to all the relevant work ( found here ). Every Monday on the CAA course blog, a number appears - black text on a yellow background, the colour of  belligerent Summer wasps, of hazard warnings and 'Police - Do Not Cross' crime-scene tape...  Its appearance no doubt triggers shooting pangs of urgency in the frontal lobes of our students, who know very well its significance; this is the countdown to final deadline day.  These are the remaining days between 'the now' and 'the end' (though in common with most endings, 'the end' just means the beginning of something new).  There will be nerves and apprehension as the end of the academic year looms large - but there'll be excitement too as students feel their skills and experience combining to transformative effect.  Without exception, every one of our current students are now undertaking their most ambitious project yet.  This latest edition of the Computer Animation Arts Post With The Most seeks to celebrate once more the talent and indivi...
