This is not the first time Mindbender, a Scandinavian studio stands out for the style of their animations. The studio's produced animated shorts for CN all have the stop-motion looks and feel, being entirely CG. Mindbender developed ways of rendering (rendering of animation, lighting, textures, rendering itself) to mimic the qualities and behaviour of plasticine, fabrics etc. The fantastic bit is that it doesn't just stop with replicating it - instead they use advantages of CG, and the animation is even more squashy, deformities and seems not to have boundaries of stop motion animation. This example is very inspiring as it speaks CG to be a tool for creating animations which have grounds in traditional styles but that it also allows to push boundaries and reach for the spectacular.
