FAO CAA Yr 1: Essay Hand-in / Clarification!

Apologies for the mixed messaging between the brief and the timetable regarding your essay hand-in - human error, I'm afraid - mine!  The official essay hand-in is indeed Thursday 7th Dec between 11am and 12 noon at the Campus Registry Office - as per your timetable.  Spread the word!

FAO Everyone: Wednesday 29th is a UCA Open Day

Just a reminder that Wednesday 29th November is a UCA Open Day.  What this means is the building will be busy with visitors who'll be walking around and looking into our computer suites etc. so no swinging from the chandeliers please! I've got 2 course talks at 3pm and 6pm and they'll be taking place in the CAA Baseroom.  You're absolutely welcome to work on the baseroom computers during this time, but the room itself will be home to our visitors - and you'll have to put up with me too :)

FAO CAA Yr 1 & 2 & 3 / Reminder : No Life Drawing On Wednesday 29th November

Just a reminder there's no life-drawing class this Wednesday, as there's a UCA Open Day and things had to move around to accommodate all the visitors (i.e. they needed the project space).  You've all got lots to be getting on with, so use your time effectively.  Spread the word.

FAO CAA Yr 3: Monday 4th December - My Disappearing Act - Monday 4th December

Disappearing Act, André Kertész , 1955 This a message for the third years who might normally expect to see me on Monday 4th December... Due to circumstances outside of my control, I now have to disappear from your timetable in order to reappear somewhere else - namely the Farnham and Epsom campuses.  I'm presuming this is not going to be too much of an issue for anyone, as post-interim crit, you'll just be motoring on with the business of getting stuff done, but I wanted you to know my change of plans. Obviously we can arrange other opportunities for input as you require them.

FAO CAA Yr 3: Reminder - Interim Crit / 9:30am Kick-Off

Just a reminder your interim crit kicks-off at 9.30am tomorrow in Lecture Theatre 1 - it's an early start, I know - especially for those coming in from further away - it's an issue of bookings and availability of rooms.  We'll be randomising the register order and seeking to keep each presentation to 10 mins - including any feedback - so be ready to nail your presentations and keep things upbeat and lively.  One of the most important aspects of your interim crit is your determination of the scope of minor project submission - i.e. what you'll submit and expect be assessed on after Christmas.  In outlining these elements, you'll need to be very specific.  I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

FAO CAA Yr 1: You Can Activate Your Student ID Cards!

Just letting you know they've confirmed you can now take your ID cards to UCA reception and have them activated so as they can actually open doors!  Hurrah! Spread the word...

Trailer: Incredibles 2 (2018)

No doubt you've seen this already, but the original is still my favourite of the Pixar bunch!
