As you know, I spend some time reading your film reviews, and it has come to my attention that many of you are relying on using GIFs in your reviews, rather than still images.
Apart from the fact that it is REALLY distracting when trying to read your writing, it also could mean that you are perhaps not putting as much thought into the selection of images as you should be. The images that you use should support your argument or discussion, and all too often it feels as though a GIF is used as quick shortcut. Don't forget that you can't use video in your essays or thesis, so it will be good practice to start using well-chosen still images now...
So, here's the thing -
