The Supplement: Alexey Titarenko

City of Shadows: Soviet Union Collapse Documented in 1991. In the winter of 1991-92, photographer Alexey Titarenko documented a cold, gloomy day, in the midst of the collapse of the Soviet Union. Titarenko created a series of long exposure photos that he called City of Shadows, that truly captures a dark moment, and a turning point in history.
