Can someone please help me with this bizzare problem, which is stopping me from completing my work...
There are only two little sides which have this"issue" where the "split .p. tool" won't go straight only diagonal
Split Poly tool and Merge Vertex tool are the most frustrating tool I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They piss me off on a day to day basis.
From drawing your edges with split poly, pressing enter, and watching the lines you drew just jump and form a zig zag line to draging a vertex to another one and getting nothing but a selection box. Arrrrg. Autodesk should make an effort to fix these in the next Maya revision.
What and remove the "character" of Maya... never, they will be far too busy bolting even more "goodies" on. However Autodesk to have a form somewhere to submit suggestions iirc.
That's Split Polygon tool for you. It's a pile of wank at the best of times.
ReplyDeleteSelect the Vertices in that row, select the scale tool, and scale them inwards. It will straighten the whole edge up.
I'll give it a try. Thanks >.<

ReplyDeleteThis might help. Just quickly took some screencaps for you.
Ah wonderful its working now.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much
Jons right about the split-poly tool, it does have a tendency to throw up some flaws.
