I happened upon this animation and I thought of the year one Fantastic Voyage project: why? Because what I love about this animation is the complete world it creates, evoking a complex system, but in a pared down, stylish and simple way. It's abstracted, but readable; a 'non-place', but a credible one. Notice too the 'empty set' approach - the space around the objects - and the confidence of the bold visual concept and accompanying sound design. Great stuff!
