Omar Rayyan is one of my favourite illustrators. He describes his style as "looking to the past for inspiration and guidance from the great oil painters of the Northern Renaissance and the Romantic and Symbolist painters of the 19th century", and whenever I look at his work I'm warmly reminded of the golden age of illustration, which featured such lovely artists as Arthur Rackham and John Bauer.
If you'd like to see more of his work you can find his website here or his up-to-date Facebook page here. Lovely! :)
