Severe weather text alert service

Just in case any students don't check their UCA emails ... as well as the usual methods of notifying you that uni is shut in cases of severe weather, they have now set up a text service to let you know when it is closed -

 
Please Note: The following forms of communication will only be used if your campus is going to be closed
As we are heading into the winter months, UCA has set-up a new FREE Text Alert Service which will send a message straight to your mobile phone if your campus is closed due to snow or severe weather.
Students and staff can subscribe to the Text Alert Service to their relevant campus by following the instructions below.
The service is free to join but your mobile phone provider may charge you to send the initial “subscribe” text message. You will receive a message to confirm your subscription so please check the exact wording of your text if you do not receive anything within 10 minutes.
To Subscribe to the Text Alert service:
Canterbury Students and Staff: Text: UCAC ADD to 60060
(Please ensure you leave a space between the UCAC and ADD)
Epsom Students and Staff: Text: UCAE ADD to 60060
(Please ensure you leave a space between the UCAE and ADD)
Farnham Students and Staff: Text: UCAF ADD to 60060
(Please ensure you leave a space between the UCAF and ADD)
Maidstone Students and Staff: Text: UCAM ADD to 60060
(Please ensure you leave a space between the UCAM and ADD)
Rochester Students and Staff: Text: UCAR ADD to 60060
